Ramadan Iftar Donation
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever feeds a fasting person, it would be as if he fasted that day, and it would not decrease the reward of the other”.
The MSA is serving regular Iftars on campus on all weekdays during Ramadan. Iftar will be served at the Multifaith Center from Monday to Thursday and at Wilson Hall in New College on Friday with the exception of Thursday, September 18 when the iftar will be hosted at New College. Please find details here.
The rewards for feeding or assisting a fasting person are ample, which is why the MSA extends this reward to you by allowing you to sponsor any of the 18 Iftars. The MSA plans, on average, to cater for 140 students everyday. The daily cost of providing Iftars is:
- $650 for each day Monday-Thursday
- $400 for each Friday
You may sponsor a full day, half day or something as little as $5 towards Ramadan Iftars. You can also gather a group of your friends or family to sponsor a day together. To sponsor (Tax receipts are available):
- Donate online here via Paypal (This website is still under construction. You will be redirected to MSA’s old website. Please indicate that the donation is for Ramadan Iftars).
- Send an e-mail to brothers.events@uoftmsa.com
- Get in touch with any of the MSA executives during the Iftars or after Jum’ah prayer at the Hart House
Jazakallah Khair!
