We have all heard about what the media has to say about the “Israel-Palestine conflict”, but would you like to hear first-hand accounts of the situation in the Palestinian Territories from different perspectives? The Muslim Students’ Association in conjunction with the Student Christian Movement presents you with the opportunity to hear the experience of a Reverend and a Surgeon who have both spent time in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Reverend Dale Finch lived in the West Bank for nine months in 2007-8 and Dr. Abdul Rahman Lawendy worked as a Surgeon in Gaza during the 2008- 9 Israeli assault on Gaza.

If you would like to engage with these speakers, network, and find out how you can get involved in the struggle for the recognition of Palestinian human rights, do not miss this event!

For more information please contact: Usama Al-Za’tari (MSA Students for World Justice Coordinator) swj@oftmsa.com

Join us on Monday October 26th and show solidarity in finding a cure for breast cancer!

The day will be divided into two parts:
1) From 11 to 4 in the Sidney Smith Lobby Muslim and nonMuslim women will be able to try on the hijab. There will also be a bake sale, the proceeds of which go towards finding a cure for cancer.
2) From 5 to 7 there will be a women’s only after event in the Multi-Faith Centre with a fashion show and a discussion of how it felt to wear a hijab for the day.

YOUR JOB:
Sisters, make sure you wear a pink hijab for the day, and brothers don’t think we’ve forgotten you - real men wear pink so do it up!
WE NEED YOUR HELP so if you’re interested in helping out with the event itself or in donating hijabs (especially pink ones), please contact Zainab Asadullah at sisters.events@uoftmsa.com
